THE TASTE OF ENDLESS FRUIT
Oh sweet sugar
May I dance with you in silence
Without rhythm and sound
But with the lashing of skin and bone
In-between my generous thighs
With shoulders thrown
The acoustic sounds
Of muted drums
And the beating of hearts
To convene in breathless unison
Lost in the daydream of my spirited euphoria
Come slowly
With purpose and prose
And inarticulate vernacular
On rosy-fingered poetry
Slaughtered on satin sheets
As I bleed from the inside
In a naked room
Of unquiet adventure and merlot
He could taste the salt
“MAY I DANCE WITH YOU IN SILENCE WITHOUT RHYTHM AND SOUND”
