GUNFIRE

It burned like gunfire

In a barrage of fragmented steel

In a bombardment of misdeeds

You pierced me like an arrowhead

The imminent discharge of unpleasantries

Without my consent

In a forthcoming of covetous hoarding

Of pummeling

The fervency

You showered me with the forceful pounding

Of my identity, absent

Ravenous in the cogent taking

Of close-fisted hands

You held my wrists abound

You came in me

Without my consent

“IN A DESERT ABLAZE YOU LEFT ME DRY AND ISOLATED”

Like flames, rapacious

Appendages out

In a blaring of thundery pitter-patter

Of my heart beating haphazardly

With remnants of the shredded pieces

Of a moment looking for time

To dispose of me like used underwear

In a desert ablaze

You left me

Dry and isolated

Abducted me in my vulnerability

To toil and plunder

Forcibly violating me

Without my consent

But, did you rape me?
