
Bare
Devour me with eager eyes
As you watch me unlayer
The many faces I wear
The mismatched pieces
Disassembled and unsuitable
Unintended for viewing pleasure
As I undress before the longing
To see me bare and barren
Without cloak and dagger
The unsightly façade
In camouflage and disguise
Where in the evening is the day removed
So abruptly to reveal the fallacious notion
Of societal norm and reason
But only to be masked in contour
and cosmetic paint
