Breaking Bad
It’s all too familiar
The breaking of bad habits
The likelihood
To return to places
In everyday spaces
Only to be greeted with the same
And duplicate in nature
The plaguing insanity
Of repetitive encounter
And disagreeable coincidences
Bounded by the perpetual bartering
Of gossip and parley
And shared memories
With the recurring exchange
Of fractured friendships
Normalized by the compatible notion
That we are still similar
