Like a Thief
Like a thief in the night
You crept delicately unto me
Just barely
In the far away places
I stood fornent a clamourous blaze
Where the withering poison lay
In the moment of my most unguarded
And without weapons
I was immediately mistaken
Bolded over by the overflow of my unshielded tongue
I hunger for your continual citation
Of definitive verses and melody
And wheresoever I am divided
I am heard lustily
Intermittent and unrequited
You remain returned to me
Fruitful and pleasant
Like ripened fruit
With the reverence
Do the formidable things
Come together
I, with open mouth
Like a bird taking flight
Freed the best part of me.

Only in the morning Does the sunlight emanate like fireflies in the dark
