She smelled like wood and oil
Basking in the pestering sun
The stench of lumber and brushwood
In the light did she sparkle like polished bronze
Her skin lingered like covered shadows
The radiance of her uncomplicated radiance
The umbrage to shelter from the stares
Where the fetor widened like earthquakes
As she delayed the effortless undulation
Of her hips and backside
The permanence of the brown skin
Coloured her into boxes
Made of colourless crayons
The rainbow, it lingered like the wind
It hovered
The indomitable strength of
In hues of mahogany and sandalwood
Paint me the undertone of mixed palettes
That I can wash away the stain
That staggered in succession
In consist bloom and parentage
